An industrial platform developed within 1Thirty Holding that transformed powder coatings in Kazakhstan from a fully imported product into a locally engineered industry.

Overview

Market Pioneer Within Our Portfolio

Asiacolor is one of the foundational companies within 1Thirty Holding's coatings ecosystem, responsible for establishing Kazakhstan's first domestic powder coatings production.

Asiacolor was founded in 2003, at a time when powder coating technologies were largely unknown across Kazakhstan's industrial landscape.

Initially focused on supplying imported coating materials, the company gradually built the technical and operational expertise required to localize production.

This effort culminated in 2019 with the launch of the Almaty Powder Coatings Plant — the country's first manufacturing facility dedicated to polymer powder coatings. Today, the platform combines production, product engineering, and technical services, supporting manufacturers across Kazakhstan and neighboring markets.

Establishing Domestic Capability in Powder Coatings

For many years, Kazakhstan's coatings market operated under structural constraints.

Powder coatings were sourced entirely from abroad — primarily from Turkey, China, and Europe. Delivery times were long, supply stability was uncertain, and prices were exposed to currency and logistics volatility.

Manufacturers also lacked access to essential technical infrastructure. Color matching services were limited, coating formulations were rarely adapted to local climate conditions, and specialized engineering support was largely unavailable within the country.

Establishing Domestic Capability in Powder Coatings

Recognizing this gap, 1Thirty Holding invested in the development of a local industrial platform capable of supplying both materials and technical expertise to the region. Asiacolor's manufacturing marked the beginning of Kazakhstan's domestic powder coatings industry.

Manufacturing

Local Manufacturing for a Regional Industrial Base

As the first and only powder coatings manufacturing project in Kazakhstan, the Asiacolor production facility serves as the operational core of the platform.

With consistent high-volume output, the plant supports a wide range of industrial applications, supplying coating solutions across multiple markets and sectors.

Localized production enables shorter delivery cycles, improved supply stability, and greater flexibility in meeting customer-specific requirements. Standard product lines remain consistently available, while customized coatings can be developed and delivered with increased speed and operational efficiency.

Local Manufacturing for a Regional Industrial Base

For regional manufacturers, powder coatings became a locally accessible technology.

Success Story

Powering a domestic powder coatings sector in Kazakhstan

The launch of Asiacolor's production facility marked a turning point for the coatings market in Kazakhstan. For the first time, manufacturers gained access to locally produced powder coatings supported by engineering expertise and technical services.
