Asiacolor Global Applied Research Center
From Agreement to an Integrated R&D Platform
What began as a strategic Memorandum of Understanding between 1Thirty Holding and Nazarbayev University has evolved into a powerhouse for applied research. We are bridging the gap between academic excellence and industrial application.
Now in the implementation phase, we are establishing a world-class Applied Coatings Research Center in Astana. This facility isn't just a laboratory—it’s a comprehensive ecosystem for the industry.
Linking Research with Industrial Application
A core principle of the project is the direct connection between scientific research and manufacturing processes. All developments are intended for practical use, with validation and adaptation taking place in real production environments.
This approach enables faster implementation of solutions, continuous refinement of formulations, and the ability to respond to specific market conditions, including climate and operational requirements across different regions. At the same time, the project contributes to building internal expertise in advanced materials and coatings technologies, reducing reliance on external solutions.
Investing in Human Capital
At the heart of our project is the seamless link between scientific excellence and industrial application. We bridge the gap between theory and practice by validating our coatings in live production settings.
This approach allows for continuous refinement and the agility to respond to shifting market conditions. By fostering internal expertise in advanced materials, we aren't just solving today's problems—we are building a self-sustaining system of innovation that reduces reliance on external technologies.
Building a Regional Center of Competence
Our long-term mission is to create unque infrastracture that masters the entire lifecycle of coatings innovation, from the initial idea to full-scale industrial application. By bringing together students, researchers, and industry leaders, this center of competence acts as a bridge between academic theory and practical manufacturing. Positioned within Kazakhstan, the project is expected to evolve into a regional benchmark for applied coatings research within the CIS and support further expansion into international markets.
